Architectural lectures and tours
We occasionally give lectures or lead guided walking or cycling tours. Please contact us if you are interested.
We offer a chance to (re)discover the city by discussing architecture and urban development around 1900, particularly the works of architects Dammerman and Hendrik van Wort. For guided tours, whether on foot or by bike, various routes are available: in the Statenkwartier, Belgisch Park, Duinoord, Benoordenhout, and/or the city center.
We can speak French, Dutch, or English.

Guided Tour of the Statenkwartier
Yann Martineau, author of the book on Hendrik Jacob Dammerman Jr. (1873-1922), an architect in The Hague and Scheveningen at the beginning of the 20th century, invites you to a guided tour of the streets of the Statenkwartier in The Hague.
The tour will take you from the French High School on Scheveningseweg to Prins Mauritsplein, passing through Helmstraat, Doornstraat, Johan van Oldenbarneveltlaan, Frankenslag, and Prins Mauritslaan. The walk will allow you to discover Dammerman's work and the history of the Statenkwartier.
Practical information: By reservation only (dammerman@oryzhom.eu), for groups of 6 to 20 people maximum, the fee is €10* per person (€5 for children aged 7 to 18).
*Registration for the tour entitles you to a voucher for the same amount to be used towards the price of the book (one voucher per copy). You can order the book by email when registering or purchase it on the day of the tour.
